Danny Owen Music

Danny has been busy working with a number of new film makers, working on 'A Father's Gift', ' The Other Side' and 'Toothbrush'. 'The Other Side' was the first documentary that Danny had worked on and turned out to be quite a success. Additionally, a film that Danny scored last year ('Half a Heart in India') went on to win two awards at Screen Stockport. Things are getting quite exciting in the studio at the moment, and Danny is set to start working with recording artists again in the near future. Watch this space.

The Audio & Video part of the website has had a massive overhaul, showcasing an entirely new showreel. Additionally, Danny has recently scored 'Dawn State', which was nomininated for the award for 'Best Sci-Fi' at the Lime Light Awards 2011. As a busy start to the year, Craig McLearie's 'Addiction' has just been polished off and will soon be hitting film festivals around London. Georgina Townsend's 'Half a Heart in India' is currently in the final stages of post production and will also be featured at film festivals shortly.

Danny has just finished work on a business video for Dewars whisky, and a radio commercial for Yonnie Piffen Productions. The Dewars film will be shown at trade shows around the country and will featured be on their website.

Danny graduates with first class honours degree and the award for Outstanding Student!

After all the hard work, Danny has come out the other end with a personal victory! The ACM Awards Ceremony was held at the InigO2, and unlike most other graduation ceremonies featured live bands and beer throughout the majority of it! Danny would like to say a big thankyou to everyone who helped him to achieve his goal at ACM, and was humbled to recieve the award for Outstanding Student , especially considering all the talent at ACM.

Finally, a clip from 'The Lost Girls' is up, following the success at the BFI. Danny has also been working on a couple of rescores for Halo 3 ODST and Merlin, which are viewable via the links or on the Audio & Video page. Danny is currently working on two new films: 'The Addicted', directed by Craig McLearie, and 'The Girl with Two Masks', directed by Sam Casserly. Both films are currently in post-production and are due to be released later this year.

'The Lost Girls' has been picked up by the BFI and will be screened on 14th June at Southbank, in a special screening showcasing the best of emerging British talent. Congratulations to the cast and crew!

Danny has just finished polishing off the final mixes of a score for the film 'The Lost Girls'. The film is about evacuees during the second world war and is due to hit film festivals across the UK this summer. The film was directed by Georgina Townshend and stars Charlotte Harris and Jennifer Joyes. Watch this space for more details.

Working with director Craig McLearie and the Surrey & SW London Film Club, Danny has written and designed sound for the entree 'Wanted: Doritos' for the Doritos King of Ads campaign.

It has been a busy couple of months. The Help for Heroes charity DVD was released in January, and is available to buy from most online retailers. I've been woking on a lot of advert campaigns over the last couple of months- regretably they cannot be showcased with video on the website due to confidentiality agreements.

The audio & video section isn't as thorough as I would like at the moment due to the constraints, so please if you really want to see my latest work with the video content, contact me directly for a hard copy.

In april I'm working with an exciting new production company on a Dorito's advert pitch (helping out on set recording sound as well as the music), and in the next couple of months I'll be working on some films with the same company. Watch this space!

Check out Danny's latest ident for Help for Heroes here. the ident is for a DVD entitled 'Heroes - The Greatest War Movies Ever!', which will be on general release to the public by November 2009.
